Welcome to ShopMate. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the ShopMate platform, website, and services. By accessing or using ShopMate, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using ShopMate, you confirm that you:

• Are at least 18 years old or have parental/guardian consent
• Have the authority to enter into these Terms
• Will use the services in compliance with all applicable laws
• Agree to provide accurate and complete information

2. Account Registration

To use ShopMate, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain and update your account information
• Keep your password secure and confidential
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

3. Subscription and Payment

ShopMate offers various subscription plans with different features and pricing:

• Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
• Payment is due immediately upon subscription
• All fees are in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) unless otherwise stated
• You authorize us to charge your payment method automatically
• Prices may change with 30 days notice to existing subscribers
• Refunds are provided only as specified in our refund policy

4. Free Trial

We may offer a free trial period for new users:

• The free trial lasts for 7 days unless otherwise specified
• No payment information is required to start the trial
• You may cancel anytime during the trial period
• At the end of the trial, you may choose to subscribe to a paid plan
• Free trial is limited to one per user/business

5. Cancellation and Termination

You may cancel your subscription at any time:

• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• No refunds for partial months or unused portions
• You retain access to your account until the end of the billing period
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
• Data may be deleted 30 days after account closure

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use ShopMate to:

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Infringe on intellectual property rights
• Transmit harmful or malicious code
• Engage in fraudulent activities
• Harass, abuse, or harm others
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems
• Use the service for illegal transactions
• Resell or redistribute the service without permission

7. Data and Privacy

Your privacy is important to us:

• We collect and process data as described in our Privacy Policy
• You retain ownership of your business data
• We use industry-standard security measures
• You are responsible for backing up your data
• We are not liable for data loss due to user error

8. Intellectual Property

All ShopMate content, features, and functionality are owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute our platform or content
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
• Remove copyright or proprietary notices
• Use our trademarks without permission

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• ShopMate is provided "as is" without warranties
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the last 12 months
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
• You use the service at your own risk

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ShopMate, its affiliates, and employees from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these Terms.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Sri Lanka.
